Hope Fish is a Social Impact Model
At the heart of the Hope Fish social impact model are three key drivers: education, opportunity and empowerment. Through a series of small-scale educational funding grants, and one-on-one mentoring, Hope Fish aims to open the doors to breakthrough growth opportunities that will allow tomorrow’s community leaders to emerge.
“Give a man a fish and he eats for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.
BUT TEACH A WOMAN TO FISH, EVERYONE EATS
FOR A LIFETIME.”
Ritu Sharma
The Hope Fish Charter
An inclusive, equitable, and diverse educational vision for women and their children.
A hand up, not a hand-out. Teaching women to fish in a way that nourishes, sustains and advances them opportunities to live an independent, contributing and prosperous life.
The power of one. The impact of one woman being supported into independence flows through to the whole Whānau; breaking the cycle of social inequity.
Respecting a Māori world view by placing it at the heart of every supported opportunity.
